Frequently Asked Questions

What ages do you work with?

I support families from the newborn stage right through to older children — typically from around 4 months up to 10 years old. I can also offer guidance and support for newborn sleep, feeding rhythms, routines, settling and understanding your baby’s cues. If I ever feel medical advice is needed, I will always recommend speaking with the appropriate healthcare professional.

When is the best time to start sleep training?

I always look at the whole picture first before considering any sleep training techniques. Often, small changes to routines, feeding, naps, sleep environment or sleep timings can make a huge difference without needing formal sleep training.

If sleep training techniques are appropriate, I generally would not recommend starting before around 4 months of age. Before then, babies are still developing biologically and will usually still need night feeds. There is still plenty I can help with during those early months to improve sleep and make nights feel more manageable.

Every child and family is different, which is why I offer a discovery call to help assess which support package would suit you best.

What qualifications and experience do you have?

I am a certified sleep consultant trained to the highest level (Band 6) and have also studied psychology to Level 3.

Alongside my sleep training qualifications, I spent 15 years working in childcare as a nanny for a wide range of families with children from newborns through to teenagers. During this time, I supported families with one, two, three and four children, all with different routines, temperaments and needs.

Over the years, I have completed additional sleep training courses with leading consultants and successfully implemented a wide variety of gentle sleep approaches.

I also previously ran my own business delivering sensory art classes for babies, toddlers and neurodivergent children, helping parents create supportive, engaging environments tailored to their child’s individual needs.

Do you use gentle sleep methods?

Yes. My approach is responsive, supportive and tailored to your child and parenting style. I do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach, and I work closely with families to find methods they feel comfortable and confident using.

Will I have to leave my baby to cry?

No. I do not promote leaving babies to cry alone for long periods. Any sleep techniques used are discussed fully with parents beforehand, and we choose an approach that feels right for your family.

Can you help with naps as well as night sleep?

Absolutely. Daytime sleep and nighttime sleep are closely connected. I can help with short naps, nap transitions, catnapping, bedtime struggles, early rising and frequent night waking.

Can you help with toddlers and older children?

Yes. Sleep challenges do not stop after babyhood. I support toddlers and older children with bedtime resistance, night wakings, fears around sleep, co-sleeping transitions, early waking and establishing healthy sleep habits.

How long does it usually take to see improvements?

Every child is different, but many families begin to notice positive changes within the first few days of making adjustments. More significant or long-term changes can take a couple of weeks, depending on your child’s age, temperament and sleep history.

Do you offer ongoing support?

Yes. I know sleep can feel overwhelming, and support is important during the process. Depending on the package you choose, I offer follow-up guidance and ongoing support to help you feel confident and reassured.

What if my child has additional needs?

I understand that every child is unique. I have experience working with neurodivergent children and always aim to create realistic, supportive sleep plans tailored to your child’s individual needs and family circumstances.

Do you offer a discovery call?

Yes. A discovery call is a great opportunity for us to chat about your child’s sleep, your current challenges and what kind of support would suit your family best.
